Kuching, Sarawak - Bako National Park

On the 2nd day in Kuching, we woke up around 6+ in the morning and walked across the road to have kolok mee. Kolok mee reminds me of Hakka mee in KL but with slight difference in the ingredients. Our 1st try on Kolok Mee was satisfying. After breakfast, we started our journey to Bako National Park. 

We paid RM 10 for entrance ticket and another RM 50 for a boat as Bako National Park is only reachable by boat (max 5 passengers in a boat but we couldn't find anyone to share the boat with us maybe coz we are too pretty and they are shy -.-). The boatman left us at the dock around 9am+ and we told him to be back around 2:30pm to pick us up. 

After registering ourselves and got the map of the park, we had a discussion on which trail to take and we decided on Teluk Pandan Kecil trail where we will end up at the beach :D.

We were exhausted after trekking in Bako National Park. We went back to the hotel to clean ourselves and had a short nap (if 2 hrs is consider short...lol). Woke up feeling refreshed and headed straight to Kampung Buntal (yes, again). This time we went to another seafood restaurant in the same area.

Our favorite: Midin, just can't get enough of it. It's similar to paku vege but I prefer Midin! Coz I realized I am allergic to paku. Whenever I eat paku vege, my tongue turns numb -_-.

We drove back to the city and since it's still early we decided to take a stroll around the city.

I truly enjoyed my walk at Kuching Waterfront. With buskers performing, food stalls, people strolling, great night view and the river breeze, it's as if I was in another country. It reminds me of Seine river except the hot weather :). 

That pretty much sums up our second day in Kuching!

Farewell to the tiny room at St Pauls Avenue. Goodbye to the always "happening" OZ housemates. Leaving behind those tiny creatures - beg bugs -_-. I am saying hello to our new flat at Chichele Road ! [Jordan] Wadi Mujib Reserve, Siq Trail

I didn't have any expectation for Wadi Mujib Reserve. I thought it would just be another ordinary water trekking trail under scorching sun. Yes, it's summer now in Jordan and we have just experienced 40°c a couple of days ago in the desert 😣 It was only at the Wadi Mujib Reserve Centre that we realised it's an adventurous trail with high water level and strong water current. In fact, it's canyoning that we need to do: climb, wade, abseil and swim at certain places! I was reluctant at first due to the hot weather and had doubts if I could complete the trail. But hubby was keen and my father in law is going too (he is in his 70s!), so there really was no excuse for me not to. 2021 Recap

My 2021 was definitely not all sunshine and rainbows but looking back my heart has chosen to remember more of the good ones:  Consistent workout throughout the year I managed to maintain 3 - 4 workout sessions per week with one goal in mind - for health, be it physically or mentally. The key to maintain consistency is to turn workout into part of your lifestyle and most importantly, go for routines that you are comfortable with. I've tried multiple workout programs and I found these work best for me -  Yoga with Kassandra and standing workouts from Chloe Ting . Sometimes when I don't feel like following instructions from the TV, I will hop on the cross trainer for 30-45 mins and of course walking the dogs help too!  Completed my therapy sessions  At times I questioned myself why "waste" my precious weekend albeit just an hour to attend the therapy sessions. Yet, no regrets after completing a total of 8 sessions with the therapist. It helps me to understand myself bet
