Sarawak Cultural Village

On the 3rd day of our Kuching trip ( 1st day  and 2nd day ) , we paid a visit to Sarawak Cultural Village. At 1st, I was hesitant to go as I find the ticket price a little bit steep - at RM 60 for adult; RM 30 for child (age 6 - 12). But I was there in the end due to kiasu-ness.  Breakfast - Sarawak Laksa. My favorite in Kuching! It's so delicious I had it again the next day in another kopitiam :p But still, I think Chong Choon's Sarawak Laksa is the best.  Kampung Budaya Sarawak  We started our tour with the Cultural Show Pitcher plants lantern - I like! I know I am slacking on updating this blog but I am busy and sick. Migraine hit me last night and I vomited the expensive Jap food I had for dinner because of the pounding pain -_-. What a waste! I am just gonna do a quick post about a trip to Fraser's Hill in year 2010 (hehe, better late than never right). It was a bike trip with Bin. yes, that's Bin's helmet...lol Fraser's Hill Clock Tower Cyclist riding uphill. I respect them! If you ask me to cycle like them, guarantee faint after 5 minutes. Trying to capture some artistic shots. Yes, tell me you think it's nice. We trekked in Fraser's. Fraser's Hill - a healthy place.  I have no idea what's this - lemon/lime...  Took this coz it's my mom's favorite.  I love mushroom and I enjoy taking photos of mushrooms! It will be better if wild mushrooms that we see in the garden are edible. Tea time at The Smokehouse My favorite scones! But I still m...

Kuching, Sarawak - Bako National Park

Image
On the 2nd day in Kuching, we woke up around 6+ in the morning and walked across the road to have kolok mee. Kolok mee reminds me of Hakka mee in KL but with slight difference in the ingredients. Our 1st try on Kolok Mee was satisfying. After breakfast, we started our journey to Bako National Park.  We paid RM 10 for entrance ticket and another RM 50 for a boat as Bako National Park is only reachable by boat (max 5 passengers in a boat but we couldn't find anyone to share the boat with us maybe coz we are too pretty and they are shy -.-). The boatman left us at the dock around 9am+ and we told him to be back around 2:30pm to pick us up.  After registering ourselves and got the map of the park, we had a discussion on which trail to take and we decided on Teluk Pandan Kecil trail where we will end up at the beach :D. The welcome sign (typical tourist shot...lol) Visitors on the boat Met him - the bearded pig Annoyed by us coz we were ...
