Crabbies Back to The Sea - Langkawi

Image
Headed to the sea with Crabbies on Valentine's Day and spent a great weekend on the island. Hence, haven't been able to blog much, I did try but the cheap alcohol and chocolates stopped me from doing so :X Plus, I've been going to bed late every night and I felt worn out :S Age really does matter. We wanted to do a luxury trip but crabbies being the smart consumers we ended up staying in a budget accommodation. However, we did manage to go for sailing and afternoon tea set :D The affordable seafood dinner, kopitiam chicken rice & mamak stall roti are nice too with the companion of crabbies :p Sunset @ Gunung Raya Gunung Raya Tower, highest viewing point @ Langkawi Sunset @ Gunung Raya Went sailing with the crabbies Sailing @ Kilim Geopark Afternoon Tea @ The Danna (no, we didn't stay in Danna. The cheapest room rate is USD350 per night -__-) Our tea set The beautiful washroom @ The Danna. 5 stars zhau hei 5 stars even toilet ...

Car accident and the amazing Kelantanese

Image
I am thankful that I can still sit here (albeit uncomfortably :p) to tell you this story. Pardon my poor English though :) On the 26th of October, the Hari Haji weekend, both me and the bf headed to Kota Bharu for our weekend trip. Didn't manage to do much on 26th itself as most of the shops and tourist attractions were closed due to Haji celebration.   We left Kota Bharu for Ipoh the next day around 11am+. While we were traveling on Jalan Kuala Kerai, we passed by a junction with heavy traffic. Out of a sudden, a car rushed out from the side without giving any signals. We lost control and banged into the 2 cars from the opposite direction. I couldn't remember what happened next because I lost conscious. The next thing I know, I was sprawled out on the road. I can feel the pain on my back, tears flowing down my cheek, surrounded by crowd, a kind lady holding umbrella to shield me from the sun and I kept asking "what happened?".  Ambulance came and I was ad...

Philippines - Sagada -> Banaue -> Batad (Part 2)

Image
I mentioned in Part 1 , it's taboo to continue blogging about Sagada trip because I was typing the post in hungry ghost month at night time, I was going to blog about the Hanging Coffins. And I am scared of ghost -_-! I find it pantang, so I didn't take any pictures while we were there. All photos (almost) stolen from my travel partner's Facebook :D We have to walk pass the cemetery.  To see the hanging coffins After a night spent in Sagada, we took a bus to Banaue. On the way to Banaue Once we arrived in Banaue, we hired a jeepney to bring us to Batad. But no road leads to Batad village, hence the jeepney dropped us at the Batad junction. Recalling this, I feel like crying. It's a 30-minute walk up to reach the Saddle under scorching sun. It was my fault that I didn't check the itinerary with my travel mate. Hence no sunblock applied, with no hats and a heavy backpack, we walk towards the Saddle. The jeepney driver filling petrol.  The 30-...

Bike Trip -> Koh Samui

Image
Too lazy  busy to blog recently :D. A quick update with photos of my trip to Koh Samui. We traveled on motorbike from KL -> Hatyai -> Koh Samui -> Butterworth and back to KL again. All within 5 days and 4 nights. It was tiring and my butt was numbed at the end of the trip. Nevertheless, it's an awesome trip! One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.

Hobart, Tasmania (Day 1)

Image
I was in Tasmania from the 6th of Mar - 18th of Mar. Landed in Melbourne airport and boarded another flight to Hobart. I was secretly wishing I can pay Melbourne a visit but couldn't make it :| Nevertheless, there's always next time :). Hobart Airport Our accommodation in Hobart Bunk bed for me & Bin We had a walk around Hobart after lunch.  Seagulls Loving the color of the sky Had our dinner at the famous Blue Eye Seafood Restaurant, Salamanca. Mixed grill. Seafood Pie. You can find big chunks of seafood in the pie~ Fish & Chips. It was good but I find the portion a little small :p or it could be I am a big eater.  We call it a day after dinner since most shops are closed after 6pm ;).  P.S. Thank you to the lovely people who are always there to bring me joy. Thanks for being my pillars :) I travel light. I think the most important thing is to be in a good mood and enjoy life, wherever...

Sarawak Cultural Village

Image
On the 3rd day of our Kuching trip ( 1st day  and 2nd day ) , we paid a visit to Sarawak Cultural Village. At 1st, I was hesitant to go as I find the ticket price a little bit steep - at RM 60 for adult; RM 30 for child (age 6 - 12). But I was there in the end due to kiasu-ness.  Breakfast - Sarawak Laksa. My favorite in Kuching! It's so delicious I had it again the next day in another kopitiam :p But still, I think Chong Choon's Sarawak Laksa is the best.  Kampung Budaya Sarawak  We started our tour with the Cultural Show Pitcher plants lantern - I like! Bamboo bridge. Too bad it's closed. Houses for you to visit in the village The Chinese Farm House Malay House Kuih Kapit making in the Malay house   Melanau Tall House The interior of the tall house Rumah Orang Ulu - Beautiful traditional motifs painted on the totem poles, making it one of my favorite houses in Sarawak Cultural Village.
