Car accident and the amazing Kelantanese

I am thankful that I can still sit here (albeit uncomfortably :p) to tell you this story. Pardon my poor English though :)

On the 26th of October, the Hari Haji weekend, both me and the bf headed to Kota Bharu for our weekend trip. Didn't manage to do much on 26th itself as most of the shops and tourist attractions were closed due to Haji celebration.

We left Kota Bharu for Ipoh the next day around 11am+. While we were traveling on Jalan Kuala Kerai, we passed by a junction with heavy traffic. Out of a sudden, a car rushed out from the side without giving any signals. We lost control and banged into the 2 cars from the opposite direction. I couldn't remember what happened next because I lost conscious. The next thing I know, I was sprawled out on the road. I can feel the pain on my back, tears flowing down my cheek, surrounded by crowd, a kind lady holding umbrella to shield me from the sun and I kept asking "what happened?".

Ambulance came and I was admitted to the hospital. Lying on the bed, gone through a few X-ray scannings, bf tried to talk to me, my head was spinning and I think I had migraine. I kept begging for pain killers to stop the pain. Managed to speak to my brother and dad on the phone, spoke to mom too and I think she cried :( couldn't recall much of the conversations. When I can finally move my head upwards, I saw my cousin sister, Kak Umi and my aunty. They were being informed by my cousin sister in KL. They were shocked to see me in Kelantan and of course in hospital -_-.

My aunt spent a couple of hours in the hospital with me while waiting for Kak Umi to pack and return to the hospital. Kak Umi spent a night with me in the hospital, barely able to sleep on chairs and also because of the surroundings. It was humid and with screams from other patients. I was truly touched by their kindness. It was supposed to be their Haji celebration but they were there for me (even typing this made me tear a bit). I was emotionally weak but Kak Umi was there to support me. I can never thank them enough. My aunt just told me "we are family".

While I was in the ward, bf got help from his friends KW and WW as well as WW's family. After they received bf's call, they rushed to the scene and found all the things that were scattered around nicely packed aside. Nothing was taken and people who witnessed the accident shared their stories. They accompanied bf to the police station and bf was not feeling well too, KW & WW took him under their care. KW spent the whole night taking care of him in the hotel. He also fetched us around to buy air tickets and look for accommodation after I've discharged from the hospital.

Earlier on, I mentioned there's a lady with the umbrella? She went to hospitals to look for me just to ensure that I am alright. Although I am just a complete stranger to her, I am SO touched T_T. She brought me fruits and shared with us what she saw, she was riding a bike behind us. According to them, I flew (not sure if this is the word to be used :D) and was thrown on the road, 10 meters away from the motorcycle. It's a miracle that, my helmet is still intact and legs are fine even though one of my shoes flown away -.-. With just cerebral concussion and chip fracture, I consider myself very fortunate and blessed. It could have been much worse than this, you can imagine >.<. I really believe that I am protected by grandma and GYLL. My dad said because I pray to Guan Yin everyday :).

A few days after the incident, I am here right now with slight pain on my back and side effects (nausea and headache) from the concussion that will last for 6 - 8 months. If you ask me if I was afraid, I will say no because I can't remember much...haha.

Most importantly, I feel so loved! It was so overwhelmed that I cried the night after I've discharged from hospital. I cried because everyone has been so nice to me. What I've done to have Kak Umi & family there for me, KW, WW, WW's family who did so much for us and Kak Zura, who didn't know me before the incident, spent her time checking with hospitals just to visit me, the amazing Kelantan people who helped us pack our stuffs, the doctors & nurses who have been so kind to me and the Kota Bharu hospital that charged me RM 6.00 only for medical fees T_______________T. I couldn't thank them enough! Kelantanese are so kind and helpful. I will definitely visit Kelantan again when I get better.

And also my family members and bf's family who care so much. Thanks to friends who sent their regards (E, sorry I made you so worried :|) and colleagues who helped out at work (I wish I could be there with you guys now >.<).

I am just gonna end this post with an ugly picture of mine -_-

I just wanna say It feels good to be alive.
