I am sick -.-

Image
The symptom of having flu is obvious. My nose is half blocked -.- I hope I will feel better tomorrow -.- Sick is sickening (is there such a phrase?) Nothing much to write eh, not in the mood plus I am quite down now :(. So I will just post a photo to entertain you, kay...hehe I was wearing my new coat and new boots carrying my new bag ^_^. Coat = £15, Boots = £12, Bag = £4 ~ The cheapest I can find so far -.- all from Primark. ~We have no right to ask when sorrow comes, "Why did this happen to me?" unless we ask the same question for every moment of happiness that comes our way~

Happy Birthday to Me!

Image
This is the first and last time I am gonna reveal my age here -_-. Today is my 25th birthday, quarter of my life. This is the first time I am not having my birthday celebration in Malaysia. I wouldn't wana deny that I miss having my love ones by my side. I am having mix feelings now and it will take long to elaborate my thoughts. 25 years ... I am feeling so sentimental now -.-! So, I just want to say thank you to those who have sent their wishes. Thanks to my cousins who surprised me with a cake and Heineken. Thank you for the effort and I love you guys!!! I want to thank a special person. I almost cried (but I didn't la ... I am a tough girl *cough*) because of the surprise. I was so angry coz you didn't call me at 12am Malaysia time to wish me. When I called you, you were sleeping like a pig -_-. BUT when I see the present in the oven, my heart melted. Thank you for everything. I really didn't expect the present from you coz I was only expecting a birthday card >.

Merry Christmas ~

As you know (if you don't know please check my previous entry okay -_-), I've got my pay on Friday. So, I've decided to buy my cousins dinner at the Oriental City in Colindale. Oriental City's food court is a place where you can find most of the Asian food - Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China & etc. Me and Abi decided to go for the Japanese Cuisine. I love the sashimi so much >. After the dinner, we hanged around the supermarket where they sell purely Asian grocery. We bought two packets of tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) to celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival (Dong Zhi festival). Tangyuan symbolize reunion. Although we are far away from home but we still pretty much stick to our traditional chinese customs. & not to forget, the tangyuans are sooooooooooo delicious!!! The sesame flavour is my favourite. We ended our Saturday with the awesome sweeth tooth. The following day, we went for Christmas shopping! The weather was so foggy that we feel like

I got my 1st pay in London!!!

Image
I got my pay! wahaha, my first pay in London *hopping excitingly* I couldn't describe my feelings now. It's a sense of relief. The burden I've been shouldering since months ago have been lifted - not totally but at least I don't have to worry about my rent for the next few months. Another good side of it, I can finally purchase some of the necessities I've wanted to buy long time ago. I need to get an extra set of thermal wear, beverage bottle for hot drinks (my stomach can no longer take the cold water here), a coat/thicker winter jacket & etc. I will try to save as much $ as possible for my expenses in London. I seriously in need of security now till my boss confirmed me *fingers cross* I miss my family a lot! They will travel to Bali this Sunday, I wish I can be there with them. BUT even if I am not there, my heart is with them! Going to zZz now. Have a great weekend and enjoy your holidays! Photo of the day ~ Company Christmas Party ~Happines

Speechless Monday

Image
What a day for the beginning of the week - 1. Early morning while I was taking my own sweet time making sandwich, I received a call from Abi. It seemed like the tube line was being suspended and he asked me to leave the house earlier to avoid being late. 2. I left the house an hour and 15 minutes before work. The tube line was facing severe delay so I caught a bus to Warwick Avenue and the traffic so bad. I was gan jeong! coz I was gonna be late T_T 3. After like century, I finally reached Warwick Avenue. Then only realised I need to walk another 5-10 minutes to reach the tube station! 4. Took Bakerloo line to Baker Street and being told that the next tube that I need to hop on was also having severe delay! Speechless. 5. Ended up I was late for 15 minutes -__- The latest in my record so far. 6. Work was messy today. Some ppl weren't in good mood and I tried not to be involved. It's also because I felt helpness not knowing how to lend a hand. 7. Left the office with unsolved pr

Winter is on its way ~

Image
I am waiting for the snow. I hope it will snow because it doesn't come to London every year. Please, let's snow for 1 or 2 days as I have yet to experience a white Christmas. We got cheated the other day when we were at Knightsbridge because we mistaken foam as snow -.- Somemore excitingly taking photos ended up realising it was just artificial snow (bubbles/foam). The proof of winter ~ Goodnight all! P.S. I love my family and I miss them. I wouldn't mind telling it out loud because without them I am nothing. P.S. Another working Monday and I am hoping for the best. Oh, please -_- ~When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses - Joyce Brothers~

As usual Friday is always the busiest day. Half way working (rushing) I got a sms from Abi saying he's going for his colleague's farewell. My heart sank after reading the sms because Fei is not at home as well -.- (she is working). That means I will have to dine alone AGAIN! Trust me, the feeling sux coz the same situation occurred few weeks ago. I was rather down and loneliness takes its toll on me. I don't even wana recall it -.- I tried to call Eleanor's (colleague from Ghana) extension but she didn't pick up(though I saw her sitting at her place - too busy gua -.-). Went online to look for my biao ge and he is not online. Haiz...does that mean I am destined to have dinner alone? My innermost feeling is 100% confirm that I DON'T WANT TO BE ALONE T_T. In the end, I built up my courage and asked my colleague (the only person from my team who's still in the office and we only talked about work) if she would mind having dinner with me coz I don't want to

-1 Degree Celsius!!!

I have a habit of checking the mail basket everytime I come home coz I hope there are letters for me (we have a small basket in the living room to hold all our letters). Especially letters that are handwritten. Now you know why I keep on asking "you guys" to mail me la coz I am anticipating for it!...not email okay! What I mean is snail mail where you need to buy a stamp to send it -.- "you guys" inclusive of any of my friends unless you refuse to admit you know me...kanasai. What? don't know my address? ASK ME! I am more than willing to give it to you...haha..no excuse not to mail me anything okay...you should know how much it means to me right? I need something physical to warm my heart (e.g. a man photo of yours, a card or $$ >.<). As usual I was flipping through all the letters and not paying high hope (coz being disappointed for many times liao =p). After a few glances, I saw my name on one of the letters. Somemore with familiar handwritings and Mala

Purely Pictures ... and some words

Today ... Yesterday ... Photo of the day: Snapped this before I leave for work. I like the way the sunshine slipped through the curtain. It gives me the feeling of a brand new day. Did you notice something someone on the right? P.S. It's -1 degree celsius now and the central heating sucks! I hope I can sleep through the night without being froze awake. ~ If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there - Lewis Carroll ~

Western Dinner @ Ola Restaurant

Image
Sorry for not updating. I've been lazy...hohoho. For emails that I haven't replied, I promise I will do it soon T_T. A quick entry for now coz I am so wanting to hide myself under the blanket in this cold night. A big thank you to my cousin brother Abi because of him I had the opportunity to dine in one of the English restaurants in London. Thanks for bringing me along and introduced me your friend. I am so touched that I feel like crying when I am typing this -.-. How many times we passed by hoping we can be the diners within the warm and cozy restaurants. I hardly belive I am actually taking this photo in the restaurant (how sad case hor) My starter - Feta Cheese Salad. It was delicious especially the cheeseeeeeeeeeeee! (pardon the poor photo quality) Abi's pasta~ Very unique and it's more savoury as compared to my main course My Main Course ~ Lamb Shank. It was alright. I think it should taste better >.<. The rice was nice though, definitely not the ordinary wh

A Recap of The Weekend

Image
Me and my cousins decided to drop by Oxford Street yesterday as the street is being closed for pedestrians from noon till 5pm. Plus, the weather for Saturday is forecasted to be sunny! How can we not leave the house on the only sunny day of the week? We joined in the crowd once we stepped out from the Oxford Circus station. The-always-busy-and-traffic-jam Oxford street are filled with people rather than the usual red double-decker buses. Everyone was busy shopping for Christmas! How I wish I had the ability to do so T_T I felt so good walking on the street and the sky seemed to be wider with fresher air as well ... haha... I know everything is still the same but you just feel different walking on the path that you usually don't go across especially the main junction of Oxford Street. There were many people distributing leaflets and promotion brochures. I was quite lucky yesterday to be given a Guardian Angel pendant! There were street performances and some special characters walkin

Just another ordinary day ...

Gosh...my blog is getting boring -.- My emotion is unstable these few days coz it is the week of the month again (if you get what I mean). Nothing much to write about coz I was working the whole day. I think I will just write whatever that's on my mind. Erm...yeah..the tube was delayed this morning. You must be thinking it's no big deal but it is quite big deal when it creates HUMAN jam. (remember I told you about tube-sardines? This is worse). There are many tube lines in London. Normally people shift tube lines to reach their working destination. For example, I live in Willesden Green. In order to go to work, I will need to take the Jubilee Line and change to the Metropolitan line at Finchley Road station. Let's refer to the tube map below: So if one of the lines got delayed it will influence the rest of the lines and you will start seeing MORE and MORE people gather at the stations. With the people from different directions gather at the main stations (like Baker Street,

BED BUGS WAR!

Sorry Elaine, I was too busy to blog about what you've requested >.<. Busy doing laundry coz Rentokil's gonna drop by tomorrow and spray our room! KILL THE BEG BUGS wtf! We have ran downstairs for like 10-20 times just to remove our clothes from the washing machine and to check out whether the dryer is ready to use. Sometimes I really doubt what others have on their mind. When we were removing people's (housemates) clothes from the washing machine (we need to use the machine), I realised they basically throw everything that's washable inside - regardless of whether the machine will ruin the clothes or not. I think bra is easily spoilt by the spinning wash machine but it seems like they don't really care? There was once when I thought I saw a quilt inside the machine and tried to pull it out. Who knows, it was actually a pillow! Someone thrown the whole freaking pillow into the washing machine and didn't even take off the pillow cover. Don't know I am b

YES YES! Today is FRIDAY!

I love weekend! Who doesn't? (erm...maybe except those who are working during weekends?) Just ended my first working week in London and finally got my contract today. As per my instinct they sent to the wrong address -.- ! The contract is like 1.5 cm thick? I am still in the midst of going through the whole thing. I stepped out of the office at 545pm today and it was freaking cold. Look at the sky ... It's not even 6pm yet! (I think it starts turning dark around 4+?) I miss the 7pm-evening in Malaysia. The best experience I had would be the summer in Australia. I remember walking joyfully at 8+ on the South Yarra streets with F.I.V.E and the sky was still bright like the day. No fear of going home in the dark and the day seemed longer. On the way to the tube station, I will pass by a Japanese restaurant ... The sushi restaurant near my work place. I always look into the restaurant and the sushis on the belt conveyor wishing one day I would be able to sit inside T_T. If I am in

A Random Post

A promise to myself - I got to update this blog as frequent as possible. BUT I am so lazy T_T Since I started working I have lost the interest to take pictures. I promise I will wake up earlier one day and take pictures of what I do in the morning before I go to the office. How do I get to the office and etc etc. Basically a record of my working day. I don't care if you are not interested..wahaha...coz I can't think of anything else to blog leh. Since I am not going out often also. Out of the topic, I have something on my mind to encourage ppl to leave comment on my blogs. Will think of the possibility and announce it here. So, stay tune ;) Sorry this is really a random post with content a bit here and there coz it's my sleeping time now T_T Goodnight. P.S. Tomorrow is FRIDAY! CANT WAIT!!

2nd working day

erm...gonna do this in point form coz I am tired. started working yesterday BUT I have yet to receive my contract gotta attend multiple trainings until next Friday I actually prefer to start work at 930am instead of 10am coz I can leave at 530pm I hate the crowd in the tube stations because I become part of the tube-sardines the weather is horrible and I gotta wrap like a dumpling before I leave the house still trying hard to mingle around coz it takes time to digest their accent I miss my family - papa, mama, ah boy and hao hao I miss my friends and the FOOD in Malaysia I miss buri - stopped webcaming since Sunday and love sick now couldn't sleep well bitten by the forever-living BEG BUGS AGAIN! wtf I get sore eyes easily pessimistic me thinking when my bosses will give up me when my colleagues will be irritated by my long-winded questions I might only get my salary by end of next month that means I gotta withdraw my remaining $ in my bank account to pay rent gotta pay for the tra

A young (still consider la) yet old lady

My brain is not functioning well now. I am feeling sleepy and exhausted. I guess it's a result of resting for too long (2 and a half months?) OR because I am getting older -_-? Whatever it is, it has taken its toll on me coz I am having sour shoulders and a stiff neck now -.- I have to attend multiple trainings for the upcoming weeks. Not sure if its good or bad but everything is systematically in place. Just that too many procedures tend to confuse me a bit. I hope I can adapt to the environment as soon as possible because not having things under control freaks me out. I am a typical insecure Capricorn. Sorry no pictures today coz I am too tired to capture anything and it has been raining since last night? And the same weather is gonna last until Friday according to the weather forecast! 4 rainy days in a row, how depressing it is -_-. P.S. Very demotivated la, none of my friends leave me any comment -_- at least leave a msg in the chatbox let me know you are surviving can? I admi

My Fifth Saturday in London

Image
Before I move on to blog about Saturday, I want to explain a lil about my existence in London now. Many people have been asking me what I am doing in London or what is working holiday maker (okayla, actually nobody asked but I wana blog about it, can? ). Referring to workingintheuk.gov.uk website: The working holidaymaker scheme is an arrangement where a Commonwealth citizen aged between 17 and 30 can come to the United Kingdom (UK) for an extended holiday for up to two years. You can work, but only provided this is incidental to the holiday. The holiday should be the primary reason for your stay. Hence, three 20s gave up their career and spent around 5-digit to be/get here (we use our own savings that explains my entry on More than bread and water ). Now you know why we are here? If anyone is interested about the visa application procedures please let me know. Or else I guess it will be too bored to blog it here if no one has interest. Skip and jump - yesterday we decided to go to Reg
